What does being emotionally unavailable mean? Good question, and very confusing, especially for men in relationships after 50. Generally speaking, men or our generation have no model of what being emotionally available looks like! Men were taught that expressing emotions makes you a girl, so they had to hide how they felt. Men also grew up believing that showing your emotions is a sign of weakness. After all, ‘big boys don’t cry’! Hide your feelings at all costs. Robert Manni is back for a discussion on what it means to be emotionally unavailable and what both men and women need to know to bridge this communication gap and create loving relationships after 50.
