With almost 50% of all marriages in the United States ending in divorce, and with couples over 50 in long-term marriages splitting up at record rates, why are so many of us resistant to the idea of getting help? As with all emotional health issues, relationship counseling still carries a stigma, we don’t want to admit something might be wrong. Perhaps, we fear what we might discover, and what we’ll have to do about it.
