Did you make the conscious decision not to have children? If so, how do you feel about your decision not to have children now at middle age? Do you have any regrets? If you are a woman (or man for that matter) who chose not to have children, you have likely been on the receiving end of the question of regret. And, if as a childless woman, you admit to being absolutely fine with the decision, your answer is more often than not met with skepticism, criticism, or outright disapproval. You obviously don’t know what you are missing! Today, my friend Susan Josey joins us on Our 2nd Act to revisit the decision we both made over 25-years ago, while living in a neighborhood where “choosing not to have children” was short of sacrilegious. Can a woman (or man) be happy and fulfilled without having children? Since the popular public opinion is that “a woman cannot be truly fulfilled if she didn’t have children”, we’d love to hear from those who made the conscious decision not to have children. Regrets, or no regrets?
